If this page is applicable for E-series: https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/bl...d-error-codes/

The code I want to disable is CC-ID 370 (4X4, DSC, ABS and EBV Failure)

My ECU is seems to be KMBI_PL2

I am not sure if that's what you need but here is the whole data at 3001 for my Cluster ECU:

E1FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFBFFF FFFFFFEFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEFFFFFFFFFFBFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFF7FFFAFFFFFFFFFFFFF7E0300

Where the first byte is the check sum, theoretically there is 14th byte in this data, so I should be able to change it, if the DTC I am interested in is even really there.

If you need something else let me know.

Please list all values in a human readable format so I can see if I can see the pattern. preferably on a google spreadsheets. I need to have overview before I can say how the calculation might work.

Something like this:
3001
CC_CSUM | inaktiv (00)
CC_ID_AKTIV_1 | FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
CC_ID_AKTIV_2 | FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
KL_PREDRIVE_AUSWAHL_1 | aktiv (01)

Ah I see what you mean now...

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Can you search for all values? that might have something to do with it, I found this file: https://www.e46fanatics.com/attachme...py-txt.954478/

And there it looks like there is also a 7 and a 07, but don't if that's a error from someone else or the code is just weird. I saw there are a lot of other CC values.
One could argue that ones that are in group 4, 8 & 12 could be somewhere else.
For example
Reverse Light Right Failure = CC_ID 117, what if these are subtracted from the order because they have their own entry?
CC_MELDUNG_RFS_R,Check control notification for right reversing light

Also interesting that it is the 4th group everytime. 4->8->12.

Sorry I think I cannot help you. What you can try is to set all groups to 00 00 00 00 and then see if it dissappears. If it does then the 370 value must be in one of these groups.

Edit: and here i found a 15th group https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/akti...hmentId=717627

$3000+ repair cost

I took my 2017 X1 into the dealer yesterday to investigate the Secure Vehicle Against Rolling message. They told me they had good news - that the repair would only by $3000, as opposed to potentially being $7000 or even $15,000 USD. My car had 51K miles and all service had been done at that dealer. They seemed disinterested in reaching out to BMW.

I had been planning to buy a 2025 X1 when those came out. The dealer was disinterested in any compromise on a trade even for end of year 2024s. So I traded the BMW in for a competitor brand. It was too much risk for me to accept the possibility of paying $3000 to repair this, then potentially having other very expensive repairs needed down the line - or to buy another vehicle where the design can necessitate very labor intensive maintenance that drives up repair costs.

I did file a report with the NHTSA, in the vain hope that maybe it benefits others who find themselves in this situation.

When mine failed, I bought a complete new BMW shifter for about $700 and my indy guy did it for 3.5hrs labor, about $1400 total. Expensive but not as bad as $3000. My BMW dealer wanted $2300.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2030492 -> FEM / BDC. Don't know what similiar module you have for that, FRM maybe?

For anyone living in the San Francisco Bay Area, have you found a car shop that would do this repair at a reasonable price?

My hat is off to the gentleman M. Ovidiu, who prepared the excellent video on how to replace this shifter spring. I just completed my job on a '17 X1 with 100,000 miles. It took me about 9 hours but I hit it across 3 days of 3 hrs each. My suggestion is to take pics as you disassemble things so that you can put it back the exact same way. I would have had trouble remembering the cable routing precisely. Great way to save $3000 but you will need patience and neat workmanship.

This issue just popped up last week on my wife's 2017 X1 with about 76k miles on it. Found this thread and ordered a replacement spring. Was able to finally find the spring on Amazon with 2 day shipping, most of the others on E-bay were coming from overseas and showed over 3 weeks to deliver... Tackled the job this morning following the video in Post #7 of this thread by M.Ovidiu, great video and shows everything required. Took me about 3 hours with my 4 year old "helping" and running around the garage the whole time. Not complicated at all, just a bit of time and patience, spring was definitely broken, replaced it, and no more warning on the screen. I filled out the NHTSA and Center for Automotive Safety links posted in post 14 as well. Just wanted to say thanks for saving me some bucks!

Posting in both threads, so people can find this when they search.

Mini is warrantying this issue now? My wife's 2017 X1 just developed this problem. In searching the internet I found the following thread on Reddit's Mini forum, with a copy of a letter from Mini saying the issue would be fixed free of charge.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MINI/commen...are&utm_term=1

This thread says BMW/Mini USA will be covering this, not sure if it is true that BMW will cover it, but I will be calling my dealer on Monday:

What did you find out from the dealer - is BMW covering this fix? Thank you!

I called BMW directly, instead of the dealer. They said they were unaware of any extended warranties at this time. They suggested that I could get it fixed now (at my cost) and if the warranty is extended I could submit a claim for reimbursement.

I'm unsure whether to get it fixed now, since it's not causing a real problem. If I do get it fixed I'm not sure where to go - local trusted garage, independent BMW specialist (who might have done this fix before), or dealer.

Hi everyone, so I'm looking at buying an X1. Did some diagnostics on it and it's giving this error. "420106 Shiftlock solenoid: Selector lever wrongly not locked in P." Not sure if it has to do with the same thing. Kindly advise.
