will headlight from LCI version fit older version? is it possible to retrofit?

from what i found yes you can retrofit adaptiv led found in lift version if you going from nornal led you need steering wheel manipulators that have adaptiv light button but if you have halogen then you need light switch with auto position in rotary switch and adaptiv light button in steering wheel

This sounds REALLY expensive, those headlights go for high $$$ here in the US. And I'm sure there is some kind of coding required for the new hardware transplant. That said, we'd love to hear details!

so its done car updated to latest i-level 2024-3 and then only for 2 FLE modules VO coded changed option 5a4 to 552 just that and everything works auto leveling to, and there is no errors car dose not have kafas so no adaptiv functions

My car has KAFAS camera, but no auto high beam on the left stalk, and what’s I-level? Plug and play + coding? Any wiring changes?

Depends where you coming from. Coming from LED, it’s no wire changes. Coming from halogen it involves a lot.

You can retrofit high beam stalk easily aswell.

I-step is software level of the car. It’s not needed to update, just coding is usually enoug. If not you can update the car.

Just install new SZL, VO code HBA and done. If Planning to retrofit heated steering wheel one can do it in one go

I am so sorry, I gave you wrong information. Apperantly on our X1s and X2s it's not a separate code. It's part of the 5AS - Driving Assistant or 5AT - Driving assistant. On F30 platform it is a seperate code 5AC.



I however did some calculations of the code.

These values are for 5A4 led headlights, if you have the fully adaptive even more codes have to be enabled but I can calculate these if you need.

Coming from 5A4 it’s plug and play hardware wise. Then just VO-code 5A4 to 552. That should be it.
