Hi,
I'm trying to do the DIY Carplay activation.
I have found and changed the VIN in the HU, using E-sys to one from a 2020 F39 with S6CP
But as I go in to Tool32 to do the provisioning Tool32 is not talking to the car.
Can anyone offer any advice on Tool32 connection settings with E-net?

Did you run Tool32 with compatility settings on? Without running it in WinXP or Win7 (don't remember) it is unstable.

Ok, thats's good. All other things are correct aswell? internet adapters, firewall ETc? You get a VIN in e-sys and/or ISTA?

Disable any non-used network adapters in device manager, these can ruin things for tool32.


Edit: You can also get EasyConnect from here;

, see link to software pack in description, using easy connect you can setup tool32/EDIABAS easier.

Firewall off, all other networks disabled. I get the message IFH-0018 initialization error message when I try to select enaevo.prg in Tool32.
I don't have connection manager so thanks for link, will try that

Try EasyConnect, if that doesn't work post your EDIABAS.ini here.
Pretty sure it is wrongly configured connection settings.

And, yes, sorry, connects and codes with E-Sys with no problems
I have coded new VIN to HU and coded mirrors to fold on lock instead of 3 second delay

Definitly some issue / misconfiguration witht he connection. E-sys probably picks up the right ethernet adapter / IP-adress while tool32 doesn't.

You could read out IP-adress from E-sys, then use it to configure EDIABAS to force it to connect to 1 specific IP.
