To make the front PDC work you also need to run a wire to the back. Depends if you are going to retrofit also the outer sensor for 5DP(Parking Assistant or only 508 (PDC front and rear). Click on the 508 in my signature and it will take you to a thread on the forum where I and another member did this retrofit recently. If you do 5DP you also need another PDC ECU probably, but everything can be sourced used. Atleast what I did. I used about 600 EUR in parts but I didn’t need to replace the bumper but I used almost 100 EUR on new OE replacement grills and mounts to fit the new sensors. Sensor I got from scrapyard car including the wiring. (Btw; Signature is not visible on mobile version of this site) Last edited by mrpingu; 01-31-2024 at 06:34 AM.. |

I already took a look to your thread, very helpfull, the bumper comes with everything except the wiring to the module, that's why i was asking if anything else is needed in between. |

There is this post from wcruzeiro : https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=29
Where he list the part numbers; Also I have the following in my notes: 66202338070 1 Retrofit kit, Park Distance Control, frt (Wire from PDC in the back to front) 61129392513 1 Wiring set PDC, front (wire in front bumper) 51118072823 1 "Set of mounts, front PDC / PMA sensor M" (M-sport bumper) 51118072775 1 "Grill, side, open, left M / PDC" (M-sport bumper) 51118072776 1 "Grill, side, open, right M / PDC" (M-sport bumper) 66209283203 4 Decoupling ring PDC torque converter (Included in 66202338070) 66209274427 2 PDC Ultrasonic sensor RADIAL black 66209274428 2 Ultrasonic sensor AXIAL black 61319374834 1 Center console switch (optional) You can skip the grills & mount part as those are already in the bumper. The center console switch is also not 100% needed, but it gives you a button to turn it on & off if you want. Another note I should make, the front to back wiring harness didnt have the right connectors, so both me and wcruzeiro had to crimp new connectors to it. See the other thread. Also note that the front bumper wiring (61129392513) only accomodates the 4 in the front, so if you punt in sensors then you have to make custom wiring all the way to the back. What I did is incorporate those 2 extra sensors into the wiring harness and made an extra connector for the 2 signal wires. Then again, you also need to upgrade the PDC module to an PMA module if you want to accomodate those sensors. |
