Bright white spots on the hood of black paint on my X1

Hi,
There are some bright white spots appearing on the bonnet and I don't know why these are coming and can't remove them by washing.Does anyone know what it is and how to fix it.Since it is black paint, it is clearly visible.

I have attached the images.Appreciate your feedback on this.

That are stone chips. I have lots of them, every spring I have to touch them with paint stick and toothpick.

Is there anyway to avoid? It happens only in the motorway. But this car has done 90k miles so far and I bought this car recently and wondering how this was not happened before.am I doing anything wrong? I was not driving fast and it was slow moving traffic in motorway for last two days and I was very careful not to follow the cars too close. But even I got two chips.Other cars I have seen doesn't have this problem. Is it something to do with paint quality of X1?
