Another fitment thread? Yeah sorry guys

Hi all

So I pick up my 09 135i in 14days it has the performance pack wheels & I won't lie I don't enjoy the look of the in the least..

I've been looking at vmr's which the et50 on the rear I know is best but alas these wheels have taken my eye Koya sf01 semi forged http://www.koya.com.au/?cars=sf01-18...ged-custom-fit

My question is with the performance pack suspension kit can I get away with:

18x8 +43 fronts
18x9 +42 rears I know this is 8mm of of the oem area

I'm coming from having owned a jz80 supra & my current 2 e30's so this higher offset stuff is a new language to me, many many thanks in advance

Cheers
Ant

fronts will be fine.
Rears may require a small fender roll. I run ET42 in the rear, with a 9" rim

Sweet, I have no drama with having the guards rolled to fit.

Not sure if it's sad to be ordering wheels before I pick my car up lol. Next to get some decent tread sorted out for them

If it has the Style 261 rears then these will poke about 16mm more than those. Style 261 wheels are 18x8.5 +52

I ran 12mm spacers on my Style 261 wheels and they rubbed over bumps (I was also lowered). So you will most likely just need to roll the fenders

Just make sure you're definitely getting it!
I ended up buying a set of spacers to fit my rota GTR drifts to a 3 series I was meant to be buying.
The sale fell through and I got a 1er instead

Tire size and brand will make a difference but I think the magic number for et42 is 8.5" if you're looking to go with a 255 rear. Anything wider and it'll probably rub slightly so a small fender roll is in order. Obviously a tire with more square shoulders will rub more.

I run 18x8" ET35 with 215/40/18 and 18x9" ET40 with 245/35/18. Lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit and it rarely ever rubs. Even when it does, it's ever so slightly.

hmm well ET45 9.5" + a bit of low on mine, with 245's scrubs pretty badly on bumps, especially with a passenger

the 135i has 10mm further out, so ET55 9.5" would have the same fitment

9" is like dropping 6.35mm off the offset, so a +42 9" on a 135i is like a hm +48 offset 9.5"

if you plan on staying at stock height.. well it's not perfect, you'll have to fit narrower tires than optimal.

if you plan on lowering.. not so good at all, even with a roll.

you'll have tons of fender>tyre clearance - where these cars rub is the rear bumper>body mount.

On willitfit.com, apparently the rear will sit 16.7mm further out. I think I'll wait till I have the car & measure the space on the oem setup between the tire & the rear guards,

That sizing shouldn't be much of an issue at all. They only stick out 2mm further than our V710s, V701s, and V718s. We make our V810 in a higher rear offset for the 1-series though, so that you can run wider tires.

Best of luck, OP!

Brilliant then I can order them, don't worry I'll be tracking down a set if vmr810 for wider sticky rubber

Finalized the purchase with the bmw dealership about an hour ago. Just waiting on the flight details they've booked for me. Will get a lovely 461km drive home to learn the car Thursday next week

So wheels are on, verdict:

+43 Front no scrub with 225/40r18, actually wish I'd gone a lover offset to bring the wheel slightly more.

+42 Rear slight scrub on big bumps 255/35r18, car is on BMW performance suspension & no other modifications. Will be getting a slight roll & pull, some of the scrub will be sorted when I get m3 subframe & trailing arms fitted to remove some of the rear play of the oem bushes

Look good to me. I think if you go to 2 degree rear camber, it may be better. Front is nice already!
