who else has tail between legs jelous?

OK so I love my e92 and although there are certain things I think it has over new M3 such as great sound, I admit I was in some denial about the new M3 being amazing until I saw the first delivery post and videos. http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=976284

The technology and engine and even sound is incredible. I'm officially jealous and now less excited about my beloved e92
.
Who else will fess up about their denial?

I heard this one exhaust video a member posted, and I am happy I have a car with the S65 engine. Sounds like a f*cking weed wacker.

It sounds better than initially thought, but can anyone argue that it sounds better than an S65? Nice looking car for sure, but I'm still not quite there yet. Interested to hear the "real" reviews of the car before I jump on board.

Does it still have massive lag (as evidenced by the bandaid of a 7 second free spooling turbos mode)?

Does it still redline 1100rpm lower than the S65?

If so, then I still don't think it's awesome, or even an improvement at all.

The exhaust sound in the car is from the speakers.

Car is nice but there are a few things I don't like. I won't buy one til comp pack and better colors (a good blue).

-Steering wheel is HIDEOUS
-CF is kinda ricey IMO
-Exhaust outside sounds like a weed whacker
-Nav screen looks like someone just tossed a tablet up on the dash
-Wheels suck

Other than that I can't wait to get one lol.

Jealous? LOL! BMW has regressed with their recent cars. The new 3/4 series is a terrible looking car. I see them on the street and am shocked that design was approved. The new M3/M4 looks too boy racer to me. It will not age well at all. The new cars will NEVER sound as good as the E9X M3. EVER. Its amazing that one guy gets his car and posts some pics and some vids and the whole forum turns upside down.

I'm not jealous, but I will get one in a few years when my wallet recovers from this one.

I'd like one but can't afford one so I will be content with my 08 E90M3 for a few more years.

Well I guess the new joke will be drive the M4 til the turbos fail? :P

Seriously tho I wonder how long it will take them to crack the code so they can tune the cars.

When you put the e9x next to a f8x, the e9x M3's still look just as good as the new cars and maybe even better in some ways. Engine wise, yes the new m4/m3 is much more powerful than the S65 engine. But honestly with a couple mods you can achieve the same power. I feel like there is honestly no reason to buy a new M when you have the current one. Not a huge performance change in my opinion. Don't get me wrong the new M's are better. If i was to sell my car now, I'd buy a new c7 or 911. So don't be jealous, just be happy you have a piece of bmw history with you right now!

They look great. I definitely will be considering an M4 in convertible clothes in a few years.

I'm not jealous. The new M is ugly inside and out and sounds like a lawnmower. Hopefully the performance and driving characteristics are incredible but I'm happy with my e92 and specifically chose her over the M4.

If anything I'm going to be jealous if the Stingray or track focused Mustangs and Camaros wipe the floor with the new M-cars.
