EDC - what is the SOO (sequence of operation)
Greetings,
Just curious how the EDC system operates - is it by changing valving on the shock itself ? or is there air pumped in/out of the unit ? I doubt it would be something as exotic as magnetic - but I guess some cars have this and a ECU will vary the current to the magnetic for firm or soft compression and rebound. Also, I did search the forums for an answer to this prior to posting - Thank You, The Merlin

I always thought it was an electronically controlled valve in the shock body that controlled the flow of oil in the piston. There are many bright engineering types here that can answer the question with much more accuracy than I can. What I want to know is how it is made to be "progressive" in its response. Is that related to the speed of the compression (or rebound), or the depth of the stroke, or what. What triggers the change in character (linear vs. progressive). OP, sorry for the tangent...
