Changed to Michelin Pilot Super Sport A/S3
I recently got a nail in my sidewall so I had to get new tires. I went with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport A/S3. I cannot explain how much better this tire is than the stock tires. It's quieter, better in the wet, and I found out the hard way that it works in the snow. I got caught in a freak blizzard the other day and with the stock tires I'd have been sliding all over the place but with the PSS A/S3's it was not an issue at all.
I was tempted to switch before I needed tires but wasn't sure if it would be worth it, even though I hate the stock tires. If you're on the fence go ahead and get rid of the stock run flats and I don't think you can find a better all around tire then the PSS A/S3.... |

Just bought 225/255 as3's. Haven't installed them yet. Hopefully will this weekend. I got them because of great reviews for dry and wet traction and they out performed some summer tires.

Getting them on my car in 2 weeks when I take my winter wheels/tires off.
I've been wondering how much having non run flat tires is contributing to the positive reviews of the M25i? |

Wonderful tire. Now time to toss the RFT bushings.

I put AS3's on my stock rims, in stock sizes, as my "intermediate" tires. I am quite surprised how loud they are. Considerably louder than my winter Hakka's. When I switched them over, wife asked if we had a bad wheel bearing.

These are a really awesome option for an all-season tire. Good choice!

With all the positive reviews, I just purchased a set as an intermediate tire for my stock rims. Costco had the best prices here locally.... I hope we have seen the last of this crappy snow......

Finally got my A/S 3's put on today. I could tell the difference driving out the tire shop driveway. I can not believe I put up with the Dunlop run-flats for 2 years. My car actually handled better with the winter wheels/tires then with the Dunlop's. BMW really needs to let their dealers install regular tires on cars that came with run-flats, particularly now that the M235i comes with Michelin PSS's. I was lucky to find an excellent tire shop to do the work.

Two days in with the A/S 3's. They have transformed my 135. The car rides and handles like a dream. Most of the rattles and squeaks that my BMW dealer could not correct are now gone. Even my wife noticed the difference. I believe that the use of regular tires on the M235i has been a major contributor to the positive reviews. I would like to see a comparison of the M235i to a 135 with regular tires. BMW is doing their customers a great disservice by putting run-flat tires on most of the cars. BMW should at least let their dealers replace run-flat tires with regular tires. Mine refused stating that it was against BMW policy. I was lucky to find a tire shop that knew what they were doing and did a great job taking off the run-flats and mounting the A/S 3's. I had planned on keeping the 135 until the end of the warranty. I now plan on keeping it permanently.

I stayed with the stock 215/40 18, 245/35 18 size. I had 7500 miles on the Dunlop's and they were starting to show a lot more wear than the Michelin's on my wife's Buick Regal at 22,000 miles.

My car was improved in nearly every way when I installed the PSSs. No wonder BMW decided to make the PSS standard on the M235i. If you are on the fence deciding whether or not to ditch the run flats, JUST DO IT!

I went with the stock sizes for the 313s that came with the 135is (215/40R18 front and 245/35R18 rear). If I was to do it again, I would have went slightly wider with 225/255 instead.

I've been thinking of getting the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s but was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the TPMS.

I just got new tires Saturday. Bridgestone S-04 Pole positions. The mechanic that installed them told me when he reset the TPMS, the left front had to be reset twice. He thinks the semsor is getting weak since the car is 6 years old.
Wondering how long these last and maybe I need to replace all four next year possibly?
