Question HighPerformanceBulbs.com PY24W LEDs didn't fit

I bought a pair of the HighPerformanceBulbs.com PY24W amber "ultra high power" LEDs, and discovered they did not fit my E90.

The issue was that they would not properly rotate into place on the bulb socket. The OEM stealth bulbs smoothly rotate right into place and hold quite securely, but the LEDs had a ton of resistance and only went about 3/4" of the way. I tried both LEDs on both sides of the car and got the same result.

The first time, I didn't realize the LED wasn't clicked into place fully and the LED nearly fell into the headlamp housing. While removing it very carefully, one of the stupid tabs broke.

Frustrated, I put the OEM stealth bulbs back in. I tried contacting those guys with photos to illustrate what I was talking about but got no response. Looks like $45 down the drain, but I will try contacting them again.

Anyone else have this issue?

They are a bit of a pain to install. I needed to file mine a bit, but I got them to work. When putting them back into the car, it's is easier if you jack it up and remove the wheel.

See, that's ridiculous. I emailed them before buying and they flat out said, "they are a direct fit". I shouldn't have to start filing things because of poor QC.

Finally got a response from these guys, and wow. After telling me that I must not have followed their terrible directions, they were annoyed that I would offer my comments or opinions on the fact they flat-out don't fit. I will send one final email with a new set of photos to illustrate that their bulb does not fit. At this point I just want a refund since the compatibility list on the website is wrong, or because these are defective.

Here's a photo if you guys don't believe me (and yes, I sent them this photo and they said this is "normal" despite the fact their instructions show something totally different):
