Anyone have good luck powder coating APEX wheels?

I've read Internet horror stories of wheels being weakened by powdercoating. Anyone have feedback from powdercoating APEX wheels.

Just wondering,as I am getting a color I don't want in the group buy since Hyperblack is unobtanium.

Powder coating will cost you just as much as you saved with the group buy

Not to worry! I have powdercoating a couple sets with no issues. I even have a set at the powdercoater right now. Email me at forums@nitrousgarage.com and I can email you a picture of them when I get them back. Should be by tomorrow sometime.

yeah, I realize that, but the wheels are the weight/offset/size I am looking for, and with snows on my stock wheels I am going to need summer wheels soon.

If I dont like the matte black on my space grey 135i, I will get them coated or painted.

If your rims haven't shipped yet I would pm David from apex. They had hyper silver in stock for the rear but the fronts in et45 were out of stock when I was trying to order from there website for the group buy. I sent David a pm and asked if I could wait till more came in stock and he said absolutely.

I called and talked to David, he said I was looking at a 6 month wait for hyperblack to be made. Thats too long for me

I hope so, I just think they put black rims on everything these days so I was looking forward to hyperblack.

On the other hand, I think the space grey brakes matching the cars paint that will be easy to see thru the black ARC-8's will look good.
