Great results. How tough is Opti-coat? Jet Black is so crazy hard to keep pure. Will this give more protection against swirling than OEM clear coat?

Opti-Coat really isn't hard to do but the prep work is tough depending on how "perfect" you want your paint to be.

Compound->Polish-> 15-20% iso-propyl alc or menzerna top inspection wipe down to remove oils-> apply opti-coat on a section-> wait a few minutes-> buff area with microfiber towel to get rid of high spots -> apply opti coat on another section ->...

Prepping my car took at least a week's worth of afternoons but applying opti-coat took no more than 20 minutes.

Edit: Yes, opti-coat is apparently more resilient against swirling than just the clear coat but you still need to take care when washing. A huge benefit with OC 2.0 is that it adds thickness to your paint so it can be used as a "sacrificial layer" if you do need to polish the paint again; just remember to reapply OC to the polished areas.
