New Forgestar Wheels
Mounted the new Forgestar wheels in semi-gloss gunmetal a week and a half ago and finally got the car washed up for a few pictures.
Wheels: 19x9 et 20 front / 19x10 et 20 rear Tires: Falken FK-453 245/35R19 front / 285/30R19 rear Suspension: Stock EDC Had a few impressions I thought I'd share: - Handles great, no rubbing even fully loaded going over bumps. - Tires/wheels do hang out a little further. Gives the car a more aggressive look that I like. - Holes in the front rims are crazy deep. My deep well sockets couldn't cut it without a socket extension. - I'd like to see a little concave dish on the front wheels. I think they'd match the rears a bit better that way. I suppose the plus side of how it stands is you could mount an amazingly large BBK caliper with plenty of clearance. - The gunmetal coating only extends about 1" down the bolt holes and isn't smoothly coated past the spokes on the inside of the rim. You won't notice unless you're inspecting it closely. I'm really being picky here but I would have liked to see the entire visible parts of the rim completely coated in a uniform finish. - When the speedometer reads 80, you're actually doing 75. I did my research before I purchased and knew this was going to happen. It feels a bit quicker with the higher engine RPMs at fast speeds but it might be more subconscious because it's reporting higher speeds. Having it off annoys me way more than I expected it would. Hopefully I can get used to that! |

Love these wheels! It has also bothered me a bit about the concavity, or lack thereof, in the fronts when compared to the rears. I'm about 95% sure that I am going with these for my 997, but that is a bit of a concern. Regardless, they look amazing on your car! Congrats!
the concavity on the rear is just awesome

I think not having concave fronts but concave rears is something you can get used to easily so maybe I should just stare at the pic for a while haha. Wheels look pretty good on the car. Maybe go with some springs that will give you a conservative drop and it will round out the look.

are those the F14s in regular concave or deep or super deep?
Where did you get them from? im considering them for my IB for my summer wheels and am torn vs the GTS wheels. I want to go some kind of black though. The rears look hot I will probably get the super deeps. |

Sorry for the late reply. Rear wheels are super deep concave. Front wheels are standard. I bought them from the guys at Mod Bargains. They were in stock, nicely priced and were great to work with.
