Well, those orange turn signal/reflectors are REQUIRED BY LAW in the United States, so I'd start getting used to them.

Nice pics... I hope those reflectors are stuck on so they can be removed easily!

looks like a few scratches on the CF roof. or maybe that is just dust. yeah, those reflectors suck. yes the are "REQUIRED BY LAW" aerisolphaln, but so are front license plates and a bunch of other shit that nobody abides by. there is no way that i would keep those on my car (but i'm not buying an M3). dental floss + hair dryer.

That is a non-EDC car. Haven't seen too many of them. Also the car has a cupholder right behind shifter. This seems to be the first NA spec car I have seen.

They won't look like that at all. Here's a picture from BMWUSA.com that shows the reflectors in the same position as the current 335 (along the wheel well line):

i think i'd actually prefer the first ones better considering that we know from the 335i you'd have to get a color matched part to fill the reflector in over the wheel well if you wanted to remove it. the reflectors on the pics above look a lot easier to take off.

That's a real shame, they just make this particular car look a little ugly. But, I guess the law is the law.

All 3 series cars without Idrive/NAV screen have a cupholder behind the shifter - it takes the place of the idrive controller

not sure what to make of the reflector placement thooo

So close...

Ugh. Cars in Canada. I am happy for the Canadian folks but it sure is depressing for us here in the US, no cars not even a damn price.

Clarification on the reflectors:

1. The US model will come with the reflectors on the wheel arch, correct?
2. The more forward, bumper mounted reflectors will be easily removeable with no trace of it left afterwards.
3. The wheel arch reflector will not be removeable like the more forward mounted bumper one and will require a body color matched or clear replacement to clean up this horrid look?

I was wondering what was going on there.

Looks like they built this press car with a European bumper. Personally, I'd rather have them like this because they would probably be easy to remove. The "bicycle reflectors" can be painted easily too, but you still see the seams.

I don't think the bumper mounted reflectors are production parts - just something they used on the pre-production car. Maybe the NA bumpers were not available yet?

You can paint or replace the US reflectors. Or, if you are particular and don't mind spending the extra cash, you could acquire the European bumper and install that.

@jtown and Krism5:

What the heck do you guys "know" that I don't. Is there enough juicy gossip somewhere other than this forum to start a new thread... Or is this just fanciful speculation?

I'm just sayin 2008 ain't that far away. And no it's not fact just what a CA told me over the phone. He did mention the E90 and E92 was going to be released at the SAME time to me about 3-4 weeks ago. Not sure if that was known back then.
