Tungsten Wheel Weights?
Is there such a thing as tungsten wheel weights? My 17" Apex track wheels on my E46 M3 have very little clearance to my brakes and I was thinking it would be nice if there were smaller weights that offered the same mass as lead but with less volume.
So tungsten being about twice the density would be a great choice. But does such a thing exist? Thanks. |

I don't know the answer to your question but if this is really an issue, I would be more concerned about small pebbles/rocks getting lodged between the caliper and barrel.
Ask me how I know. My track wheels have gouges around the barrels.

Have not seen anything like that. There are tungsten fishing weights, but I have yet to see a tungsten wheel weight. If available, expect them to be costly compared to steel or lead.
