Very, very nice. Thanks.

"Porsche, BMV, ready for take off"

Cost aside, you gotta luv that GT3. Single purpose street/race car. Love it's seats, posture and menacing rear end. It'll really walks away from the M (viewed from the hanger take off).

Nice video though I don't understand a word. Not a fair comparison I think... the GT3 is just bullying the M3 here. It should pick a fight with the new CSL when it comes out of M division's gym next year

Top video, Ruff. Great find!

The GT3 is just the nuts. What an awesome car! I had the first of the 996 versions, but stupidly never put my name down for the 997 and now they're all sold out

Talk about an unfair comparison. Maybe a 911S, but GT3? LOL.

Outrageous GT3, what a wonderful track car, would love to see it against the F430 Scuderia. The M3 is a little outclassed in this company but then you've got to consider the difference in price. Great video! Cheers.

The 997 GT3 isn't a limited edition variant like the Mk1 996 GT3. You should be able to book one through your dealer.

So either really unfair or a huge compliment to the M. It'll likely handily beat the 911 base model, be on par or besting the 911S. But the GT3...come on. That being said I would love some translation. South, gmund, etc.?

Here you go:

"Innocent, but an enticer. Everybody who's gasoline in his veins, is addicted to the GT3. It's like a drug, but an expensive one, since HP junkies have to spend almost 113.000 €. That's the chance for the M3, which offers almost the same power data for 67.000 € aswell as sports car genes in sedan's clothes. For example the V8 featuring 420HP, 5 more than the Porsche. The cars couldn't be more different: GT3 with race car appearance and rear wing, the M3 is more discreet and not so spectacular...
Let the duel begin, Porsche and BMW, ready for takeoff:
Advantage Porsche: very soft tires, great traction and a weight of 250kg less[than M3], which the M3 finds a hard nut to crack. On the track the M3 surprises however, it's almost on par with the GT3 while not demanding the driver too much - it's a everybody's sports car, civilized and in perfect balance. But the total passion is missing, which is GT3's strong point. The GT3 needs to be driven hard and wants cross acceleration,it's able to pass the M3 in that manner. GT3 shouts out what the M3 is only able to hint, drifting directly into the driver's heart due to its perfection.
(Interior description following)
On the streets you clearly recognize that the M3 is the car for people who want to draw back from the wild Porsche life, a "corner star" with manners, practical, comfortable, and suitable for long journeys, but not in the least boring.
Porsche drivers will start to hate the tires in this situation, the soft cup tires are not suitable on wet roads at all. This car celebrates driving pleasure, no more and no less. The GT3 is not meant to be a DD, that's what Porsche has the Carrera for. It's not easy to give an verdict: The GT3 is faster and more fascinating, but the M3 is cheaper and more practical. (Adding some practical points like space, mainteanance, insurance...)
So the BMW wins this comparison, the Porsche all driver's hearts."

Best regards, south

What a fun comparo!
I can't believe how much the GT3 blew away the M3 in a straight line...

Man! That GT3 is something else but the price and the fact that it's purely a race/track car not a DD is why I would go with the M3 without a doubt.

Did anyone else notice the M3 won that comparison?? Yes, I know it's for different reasons, but still.
The GT3 is still wicked nice.

What do people expect in a straight line? 250kg less and basically the same power....easy enough to understand.

Keep in mind though that the weight difference won't be as much here in the US as it is over there. It will still school the M3, but just not by quite as much. :-)

Don't you mean 85% of the performance for 1/2 the price??
