Vanne's Z4///M Coupe. :D
Okay, I've been on the lookout for an M coupe for a long time, and I finally tracked one down that was within my criteria. Spec/cost/service history/color and condition.
So without further adu, please allow me to introduce my latest stable mate for my little Z3.. And Under the hood... Drool... Inside... leather carbon fibre throughout. And as you can see, in excellent condition.. Backside... Need to seriously polish those pipes and expansion chamber.* It needs a rather good wash and clean throughout, but the whole car is in excellent condition. ESP for this one as it does have a high mileage.. The 6 speed box is notchy to say the least but doesn't grind in any of the gears.. The horsepower is... Scary after jumping out of my 2.8z3. And it is sooo solid on the road, not as twitchy as my 3. Was doing 170 before I felt like I was doing 120. The good, the engine is faultless as is the running gear. The interior is mint! The wheels are good and has new tires. The paint is in great nick, but could use a clay. The brakes are amazing. The bad: needs a service (I knew this before buying and adjusted my offer accordingly) has a small ding in the front right guard, hardly noticeable, but annoying non-the-less. The rear side window sil rubbers should be replaced.* Those of you that probably noticed, the export plates... Yep, got it out of Dubai and registered it yesterday in dxb. Now I have to learn to drive a stick again, the ratios are a little closer than my old car. ; D Cheers. Anyone have any must do maintenance info, that would be appreciated. First thing I'd do is change all the fluids. What kind of mileage is on the car? Do you have any history on the car you can post?
Looks nice, I really like the red/black interior.. Not usually a fan of red interiors, but that looks really nice!

looks good!
just a tip, unless the rubber trim is cracked, i would try out some back to black on it before replacing. It really does make the black trim look brand new! |

Congrats on your new ride!
My car has Extended Leather and it does not have that seam on the passenger side console, right near the central locking button and just above the left passenger side seat bottom bolster, which I assume is a joint in the standard plastic trim. And the car has no carbon fiber, you might be referring to the carbon leather trim on the dash.

That's the carbon leather dash. The M got three standard dash options: carbon leather, madeira walnut and brushed aluminum. Some countries had a few more options through the individual program.

Unless if it is an individual option car, imola red leather wasn't an option for extended leather. Great looking car though! Any plans for mods? I recommend some exhaust to let it sound how it should.

I do have a few little mods that I am planning for her, but nothing major, my z3 has major mods and it does nothing for the resale value, not only that, but my 3's ride is pretty much track only, it's that hard. So will try to keep this as much stock as possible... Well kind off.. Mod 1 will be the short stubby antenna, and depending whee that leads, I really like the look of the deleted antenna.. I do have an issue with my window washer not working at all, there's no sound from the pump when the lever is activated, and all the blade fuses are intact.. I am also not sure if I have the headlight washers, but I do have 2 pumps in the resiviour. There are also tabs on the bumper where the headlight washers should be, but I can't pry them up.. Possibly the po has done away with them, but left the pump intact??? Or do they lock down so you cannot pry them up? Ay idea on now to fix the washer for the windscreen? I don't care for the headlight washers, but the windscreen washer must work. Txz4, any links to this black to back stuff your speaking of? Mine rather bad and cracked.. Any info on this would be cool. Thanks for all the well wishes guys, great to be here, and hopefully enjoying the ride along the way. What fluids would you guys recommend all around? Mileage wise I have 103k miles on the clock. Fixing /removing oil slick from rear view mirror now... Ohkay, fixed. No auto dim function, but for a hundred bucks I'd rather dim it myself. I have the same mirror on my z3, and that had the same issue. I just ordered the bimmian 3 inch shorty rubber aerial. ; ) Cheers Last edited by Vanne; 03-20-2013 at 02:21 AM.. |

i have bad news for you, BMW said you can't buy just the rubbers as they are attached to the window. You have to buy the whole window and it's somewhere around $250 (?)
