Look what came in the mail..
My spring just arrived yesterday..I'm debating doing this myself, I cannot seem to find an diy instructions...
Is this a realtive easy job? Do I need any speaical tools? Also I've been reading that I might need 15mm spacers in the rear? thanks |

have you ever changed a suspension before? if not you will be better off paying 150 bucks to get it done in 2 hours
and yes, you will need 15mm coil spacers form the e46 to level out the car. the rear will sit lower than the front, even with the spacers installed

For $150 I'd pay to get it done, but I got estimates between $275-350 to do it...It doesn't look to difficult, but I'd like to see a step by step..
Does anyone have a pic without the spacer? |

Not difficult if you can find a DIY write-up. H&R's don't lower our M's too much so I discourage the spacer. My H&Rs only lowered my front .5" and .85" in rear. The pic below is my car on H&Rs.

Re-using a previous post.
Check here: http://www.billswebspace.com/BMWZ4MK...llationDIY.htm This is for coilovers, but the removal part is the same for the fronts. The rears, you just stop at the springs. This should give you an idea of what you would be getting yourself into. If this looks to be too much, then farm the work out.

Post pics when you are done. I am planning to do this also at the end of the month.

I did the install 2 days ago, when I finished I was disappointed it only dropped the front 3/4" and rear about an 1"...when the car settles out I'll post some pics...
Installation was a breeze..thanks to a_riddler for that helpful link.. |

Do you feel like it would look better with the spacers? or happy with the way it is?

I'm going to give it some time and miles for things to settle..I'd like the rear to drop another 1/2" and front to drop another 1" at least..
If the rear drops anymore than that I'd use a spacer.. |
