Diagnostic tools +

I have been looking for something a bit more than a simple diagnostics ODB2 tool . The one I do have read simple error codes and nothing more.

I cam across these two items and they look decent. Anyone know if this is good, or have others I should look at?

I've used the Bavarian Technic cable for all my BMWs and never had any issues with it. Although I used it primarily for reading and clearing fault codes and resetting maintenance alerts I believe it can do a lot more (not sure though).
