Finally back from the shop
On April 1st, 2012, the world decided to play a cruel joke on me and have an asian lady run into my car while she was coming around the corner in my apartment complex. It took almost 20+ days for the other parties insurance to get a statement from the driver, which kept the process from proceeding. Eventually they admitted fault and my car was finally put into the shop. (This was barely after 3 months ownership of the Z4)
Cracked front bumper, bent fender & broken headlight. After 1 month (1 week of actually being in the shop), I finally got my car back. 2004 Z4 3.0i 6spd Alphine White / Dream Red (sport and premium), purchased 2/2012 Stubby Antenna OEM Clear Corner Kit (Side, Rear & 3rd Brake) OEM All weather floor mats E46 Ashtray aux kit retrofit Sound generator mod RPI Intake Scoop with BNC Filter Drop Windblox Windscreen w/ glass edge option (VT decal added) Aero Front Bumper Mods ordered: RE Racebrace Gaptech Remote Control Hood+ Bimmian tow hook license plate holder (illegal to have no front plate in VA) Next mod: OEM Alarm (P/N# 65730302424) Eventually tires (hankook or bfgoodrich)

Glad to hear it got sorted out and that the person finally claimed fault. I hate shady people...
And a good excuse to switch up to the Aero bumper...good taste! |

hey You dont need the Gaptech Remote Control to open and close the the convertible with the key, you can code your car to do that, really easy to do..

if you know how to use the ncs expert program, open the GM5 module and change this,
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB change it to aktive (open) KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB change it to aktive (close)

hrm, coding isnt really my strong suit but i'll definitely be doing some research into this. Is there a reference of all the codes that can be changed on the z4? ie: passenger win auto up (bugs the hell out of me that all the switches are 2 stages but it wont go auto up).

I just learn how to code and I really don't know how to use a computer really well, it took me like 3 days to understand the basics of the program, yea there is a list, but is not complete I can post it, not my list so I give credit to the person that did it..

The NCS expert program seems interesting; 30 bucks for cable. I'd mainly use it for the alarm activation, passenger auto up and auto lock reprogramming. NCS expert program freeware?

it is a PITA to get installed, and make sure you read a lot on how to use the program before start coding, you can burn the modules of your car if you don't do it right
best place to learn is (PM) everything you need is there most are for e46 but it is almost the exact thing

I liked both module features and since I didn't have remote top down (until fercho chimed in about NCS) I ordered the Remote Control Hood+ Its already been ordered and shipping from UK so I can't cancel it now. I will however, use NCS to activate alarm + other features, when I install my soon to be purchased OEM Alarm (minus interior motion sensor)
