Just received Aero bumper and side skirts :D
Today I finally received my bumper and side skirts from Tischer after a month's wait because of it being on backorder. I was so happy to finally get them that I'd thought I'd take some pics to share with you guys. I plan on getting them painted and installed next week and I'll also most likely protect them with a clear bra so they don't end up like my current bumper with all the rock chips and scrapes. The pictures aren't great but you get the idea haha.

Thanks guys, can't wait to get them installed. Anyone that has them, how big of a difference does it make on the car?

Made a huge difference for me. The side skirts really changed the look of the coupe, and added to the effect that the silver grey paint has when different intensities of light hit it.
I love the front bumper. A lot of people consider it a sin to replace an M bumper with a non M piece, but to be honest I really like the way it makes the car look, and I've gotten plenty of compliments from other BMW owners...M coupes included. |

What comes with this bumper cover? BMW dealer said it came with grilles, but not driving lights. Plus, I'd hae to buy some misc. mounting parts for about 10 bucks. The body shop isn't showing that it comes with grilles and wants to order them separately. Basiclly, my '07 si coupe has to have the entire bumper cover, both grilles and one driving light replaced and I want to convert to this style cover with minimal cost difference.

Bumper - 51110149440 = $433 Fog (left) - 63176925007 = $103 Fog (right) - 63176925008 = $103 However, I just remembered. Upon painting the kit, I learned our tow hook cover on the newer bumpers does NOT fit the Aero bumper. You will need to order a tow hook cover as well but it doesn't have to be from the Aero package. Any cover from 03-05 should work (I'd be surprised if they had different p/n's). So be sure to get that painted as well! Last edited by 3002 tii; 05-18-2012 at 06:33 PM.. |
