Hudraulic unit/Hydro unit E85

I have to replace my soft top motor on my 2004 Z4 2.2i.

I have followed Shipkillers tread (THANK YOU!!) and my unitnumber is: 54347016893 Number one on the photo. Number one has also unitnumber: 54347193448, can anyone tell me whats the difference??

54347016893 is the number on my unit, its not over 4 kilos.
My local BMW dealer is not familiar with the Z4, they are rare around here! I`ve got an offer for app.$2105!! I think that must be wrong!

Just like in your link, I can find two part numbers for what appear to be the same part!

One costs over 1,000 USD, and the other is 400 USD. Link According to RealOEM they're both the hydraulic unit. :

But there are a couple of threads that answer the question, and it seems like this is your lucky day, because it appears the correct part number is 54347193448 (the inexpensive ~400 USD unit).

See these threads for reference:

Thanks for your reply!

But do you know the difference between these parts?

No, I'm not an expert on the soft top roof. I was able to find the links, but that's all. I wish I could be of more help. Maybe someone else who knows the difference between the two parts will post their thoughts.
