Do note your kit is for iDrive equipped cars. The non idrive kits do not have the cut out bellow the shifter.

Yeah, after comparing the photos with my car (non iDrive) it clearly won't fit. Bummer, because I was really looking forward to an ashtray, and a lighter/12v socket would have been nice, too. (There's only one, in the arm rest, on the 2012's.)

the piece is useable for non idrive cars if you have poplar trim. the shifter trim would just not be used. it separates. I went with the cubby and a different trim. the front piece with the ashtray is identical

i don't think it makes a difference. the shifter trim is only denoted by auto/ manual/ dct. Please correct me if i'm wrong

I don't have poplar trim... which makes using just half the pieces a little weird. It was already a questionable look (mixing the piano black -- dark gray? -- of the base 2012 128i with the grey poplar.

The kit will probably fit on a non drive car, however, the piece around the shifter will have the idrive cutout . For many people it won't matter but for some it may.

I didn't mean to deter this thread -

Good luck on the sale and it is priced very well- even just buying it for the socket which could be adapted to fit in different trims is also an option for anyone.

I have grey poplar in my car and it looks very good against most interior colors, particularly red and black leather.
