coolant issues!
Not sure if this goes here but ill ask anyways!
Ok I just got back from Afghanistan 3 days ago and during deployment I had the ESS TS2 kit installed on my car. I now have coolant coming from I believe the resivoir. When you pop the hood I have a cap on the cross member just to the right of the BMW symbol. Its and 04 3.0i 6spd. It looks like its coming from the lip. Cracked coolant system 'expansion tanks' are a common issue.

Well damn, and the bmw dealer is 50 miles away! Ill check local sources.

i think your caps failed, then the water sits on the lip and runs down the tank making it look like a failed tank...........
the rubber lines to the tank may be perished..
