Mixed the Z4M Front Grill and Non M Grill

So I purchased the all black grill and I did a swap for a non M front (all silver) grill and decided to mix them up a bit to see how it looked. It turned out ok. Kinda subtle and I like it...

What do you guys think?

All black outline and satin silver inside

You know I like them both about the same... All black looks cool with the all out black look I have going on but I wanted some silver lines in there. I will run these for a bit. When I look at both pictures to me the black/silver look better than all black. lol

subjective opinions really, cos i'd favor the original chrome surrounds with black fins. i think all silver surrounds AND fins would be worth considering as well

^ I had black roundels on my car so the stock grills had a nice black/chrome theme.

The silver fins do look good, I think it's me being used to the other way around preferring all black.

I like it..

If you pair up with some wheels in the same theme, Black lip with polish spokes = Perfection. I'm going to re-finish my wheels in that theme when MR is riding on winter setup..

The one with the silver bars makes the car look like one of those "cannibal masks."

I went to switch them to all black again and they looked really good at a distance. You almost can't see them on an all black car. So this might be the way to go VS all black. Car looks more attractive with a little silver.

I like the all black, but to be honest, I like the black/silver combo as well, any wider shots that show the whole car like your all black shot? That would be a more even comparison.

The all black looks better.

And there are only two (stock) styles of grills for all e85/e86 models, black and chrome, and silver and chrome. M54 3.0i and 3.0si cars got the silver grills. All others got black

I will get them this afternoon. I like the all black because thats what I am use to. This is different and my friends at work said at a distance the black/silver looks better.

i like the new look! imo, it makes the car look wider.

if you think something is missing... maybe paint the horizontal bar between the fangs the same matte silver color?

I like the oem grilles the best but of the two you posted id say the all black looks better.

Well now that I've seen a full shot of both, the full black is a great and aggressive look, but I think the black/grey is just as nice, not as aggressive but very unique and goes well with the rest of the car. I wonder what that would look like on my silver grey...

I like the silver fins better... Gives more contrast to your Moupe. Now get those BBK on and slap an HPF Turbo kit!
