Great angles and ideas!

I've tried a number of angles and settings in my videos as well. Autox I prefer the 1080p setting (r5) since the wide angle 720p setting seems to distort the cones and such.

The wide angle looks really cool in some angles though on the street. It all depends on what your doing.

Trying my first GoPro rigging on the motorcycle tomorrow... we'll see what turns out best.

Couple of mounting positions i've used (I have vids too if you interested):

Thanks. Yes, the 720p does seem to distort some views. I actually tried all seven angles in r2 and r5.

I am not quite happy with the way the 'Side -forward facing' angle came out - although I love the persepective. There was just a little too much car in the frame. I suspect that can remedied by extending the mount angle out a bit - just not sure of how much vibration that will create at 100 mph.

Yes - interested in seeing your vids - esp side mount fwd facing.

i run two gopro's. one in cabin forward facing for picture in picture and one outside wherever i feel like at the moment. you guys should try mounting on top of the mirror or higher up on the fender or rear quarter panel, those are my favorite spots.

Nice PiP video. I like the view over the hood view but could not tell where the camera was mounted. Can you post a pic of where you had it?

BTW - nice driving too!

the outside camera was mounted on the upper part of the windshield. it was wet during my 1st set of runs so it seemed to be the cleanest place to put it.

It works as advertised. Below 100 mph it cuts the "rush" wind noise -certainly better than foam (I have tried that too). Comparison and usage test videos here:

I just wish I could justify the price of a gopro...I vote in cab forward, bumper, and helmet. Helmet can be a little disorienting at times but it offers the best view of cones on an autocross track.
