Sticky pads for wheel weights
Got a slight problem with old sticking pads for wheel weights and their removal.
Since I've had new tyres recently, ive noticed that the old balancing weights have been removed and the new ones have been re-positioned, which in itself is not a problem. However, where the old weights were, there is still the sticky pads used to secure them and they are becoming a right royal pain in the arse to get rid of! Anyone got any ideas/tips/advice on how to remove them, as my fingernails cant take much more punishment! Flapps

Plastic razor blade paired up with 3M General Adhesive Remover or any other stronger solvent based tar removing product (mineral spirits, lacquer thinner, etc). Spray, let sit for 30 seconds, and have at it. Add more adhesive remover as you need.
Once finished, wash and rinse thoroughly and enjoy your clean wheels! |
