Dealer Xzilon treatment

Has anyone had any experience with the Xzilon treatment offered at the BMW dealerships? It was offered by BMW here for $500. I think its basically a 100$ treatment and 400$ warranty.

Wondering what the detail pros thought about it.

They say you would just need to wash your car as normal and no need wax/polish. You can wax/polish as long as you don't use "abrasive" products.

TIA

I agree with the following statement by one who knows the definition of "tightness"

$500, for that price you should just get it detailed by someone on the forum and they can slap a name on it too (bedazzle treatment).

With products like Xzilon, Perma Plate etc; you are paying for a warranty not the performance of the product. These companies are rolling the dice on the percentage of comebacks.

Plus you have to keep in mind that the onsite detail minions get paid by the car so they are going to get the product applied as fast as possible. Zxilon has to be applied in 2'x2' sections and can't be rushed or it will haze up. I applied it to a couple of Astons for my local dealer after paint correction. It took me about 1 1/2 hours per car and it looked great but I don't think it will last five years which is where the dealer is also rolling the dice where not many people keep their cars that long.

I have that on my X5M... I think it's better than a 3M clear bra because you can't see the edges but I can't say that it does or does not help.
