Next Major Mod.... well next 2 major mods... got a great deal on the Snap-On through my local craigslist.... and then installed the SS Sport Cans... had to hear more sound when driving it... and I'm pleased... although the SS X-pipe is in my future...

Thanks esqu1re...
Next was a darker shade of paint for the wheels since I can't afford a set of TE37's yet! Pic of first 2 sanded... its not easy... took about 1.5 hours per wheel, by hand, I'm sure there are easier ways, but I went with the lowest cost method... and I know I know I've got A/S's on the wheels, but 2 were new on the car when I purchased, so figured I'd wear them out instead of take a loss Pic of wheel taped up.... also somewhat time consuming... maybe 20 mins per wheel, keep in mind I don't do this type of thing everyday... Third pic is wheels making the trip to the paint booth... |

Shipkiller, had an awesome time that weekend, best way to "learn" a new car is def. the track... learned so much about it from the 7 sessions I drove in that weekend. Looking forward to my next HPDE. (since NCCAR was canceled)

BMW CCA has a 2-day HPDE at VIR the first week of July. Asphalt Ventures has a 2-day HPDE at NCCAR a week or so after that.
Trying to figure out my schedule to do one or both of them. Just depends if I am finished with the USS Albany by then or not. |

Thanks Tekmoe...
...and shakib, I didn't spray them myself, I just sanded and taped them up. Had a painter friend I know who works at a local body shop actually spray and clear them. Not sure exactly what all he used.... but I do know its basic automotive paint and clear. |

Shipkiller let me know what event you end up signing up for. As of now Im really leaning towards the NCCAR one, because I really want to try that track out.

I am 90% sure I will not make the VIR event.
NCCAR is looking good so far but I have to wait until the end of June to register. Plus, I will need new rubber before I go. |
