Quality of Breyton GTS-R wheels
I'm looking at Breyton GTS-R wheels from Tire Rack and just wondering how strong the wheels are. I have read where some 1Addicts have had problems with cracking of the wheels. Any opinions would help. I also would like to see any pictures of silver wheels on a Alpine White series 1.

These are the BE by Breyton GTS-AV but they look as far as I can tell just like the the "R" wheel. I love the look. Very similar to the new 1M wheel.

Here's what I know. I'm in the 4th season of using mine and they have performed flawlessly. Some people have bent or cracked them. Some people have also bent and cracked OE wheels and many other kinds of wheels. I have not seen anything unusual from this wheel that would make me hesitate to use it or recommend it to others.
I'd recommend them to my mom if she had any interest in that sort of thing.

I'll back Gill here. I've had mine since May 2009 and they have not shown any problems. No cracking or other flaws. Used on NYC streets as well as on the track.

Lol I have 4 bent and one cracked 264s.
Bending and cracking can happen to any wheel given the right circumstances. |

the 264s along with most of BMW's modern aluminum wheels are easily bent. They are very soft. BMW has single handedly incresed the cost of wheel insurance for everyone because of their soft wheels.

The breyton's can crack and bend just like any other wheel. Since getting mine, I have seen tons of cracks in bends in family members 1,3,and Z4 series BMWs, but no cracks or bends with my breytons. When I first got them on my car, there was a crack found in once, but a huge enormous pot hole was hit to cause it....

Gill, how are these wheels made? Gravity cast? Low pressure cast? I was looking into these wheels and I might be interested in buying a set real soon! Thanks in advance |

My specs list them as cast. It doesn't say if it's gravity or low pressure.

I just wanted to let everyone know I've ordered my Breyton GTS-R wheels from Tire Rack. The salesperson, Reggie, was very helpful and nice to work with; the wheels should be here by Friday. I have ordered many wheels and tires from Tire Rack over the years and they are a great company to do business with.

I've been running them since last September, and they are awesome wheels! I get compliments just about everywhere I go.

I really think that they matte gray would look great on the Le Mans Blue. I saw some pics somewhere of that combo and it was a perfect match and the matte gray wheels stood out really well.
