With fox red, i would def go 35%... you want people to get a hint of the red interior. In the 20's is way too dark IMHO.

I'll try to post of my 35%.

with tint, you're going to want to look at a DiRECT profile pics. anytime you get a pic off at an exaggerated angle, like you see in most of the pics above, the tint will start looking considerably darker because its approaching its "angle of total internal reflection"... a scientific term of art meaning that as your angle compared to the tinted window becomes more exaggerated, you're able to see less and less light from the interior, and more and more light reflecting from the outside of the car, creating a mirror type effect. in other words, tint looks much darker as you're off at an angle compared to a car.

to get a good tint job you need to consider the following factors:

1) color of your interior - darker interiors can get away with lighter tint to achieve the same effect

2) type of tint - ceramic tints typically show a little lighter than non-ceramic tints of the same percentage. ceramic tints also have a slightly different hue - striking a more earthy black tone, than the blue-black tones you see in non ceramics

3) tint percentage

4) whether or not you tint the front windshield also drastically affects how dark the rest of your tint looks

as a matter of personal opinion, i'm a big fan of ceramic tints, particularly huper optik (30-40%), with the front windshield tinted just a little lighter (approximately 50%)

hope that helps

Thanks for the pics. I'm leaning towards the mid 30s now because I do want to see my red leather. In terms of windshield, don't want to tint that. I'm not certain about the ceramic/non-ceramic. I truly just want a black color not an earthy color...

non ceramic tints are more bluish black, ceramic tints are more green-black. in other words, you're going to have a decision to make either way here. both of them are black in the true sense of the word, but they lean towards different hues.

Doesn't ceramic look closer to OEM? That's the feeling I got when comparing them. I also like that ceramic tint is thicker and there seems to be less distortion/refraction when looking out of them.
