under the car cleaning

hey guys i dont know if this has been asked before but i was wondering what is the best way to clean the under of our cars? i dont have any DIY car washes around here nor do i have anything to lift the car for easy cleaning... all i have is a hose that i clean the car with, and in NY there has been salt ALL over the roads.. So how would someone like myself be able to clean the bottom of the car?

You will at least need a jack and some jack stands... Unless you want to get on your back and reach your hand way inside with some sort of cleaner and brushes... I've never had to deal with snow and salt so I cant really recommend what cleaners to use on that.
