quick question
yes i am aware of the wheel and tire thread
i have a quick question, and would appreciate a quick answer as i have a 3.0si daily driver with a flat and need it for work monday if possible i now have the stock rf tires and am planning on replacing all four i've done a little research and come up with the hankook ventus v12 because of price (im in the beginning of a custody battle) but can afford perhaps $500, i also saw the ventus R-S3's so those are in budget but havent heard of any z4 owners using those. any positive opinions would be greatly appreciated tia |

I just put the V12's on my Z replacing the RFT's and I will NEVER run the RFT tires ever again. The V12's are a great tire for the car. Some talk about the poor performance in cold weather but we have been in the 20's and 30's the past month here in NC and the tires feel no different.
Super quiet and they appear to be wearing very nicely. I have about 8k on them already and they still look new. I love them so far and would recomend them without hesitation. I daily drive my car about 75+ miles every day. |

I went with BFG G-Force Sports and can't see paying more than what I did from TireRack and had them sent to the installer. Got em in 2 days. They have been fine in the cold weather here in SC as well. They are a lot meatier than the RFT's and I got the stock sizes and they have a wider profile than the RFT's too. They have the same manufacturer ratings for speed and heat so I went for them. Turned out great.

If you get them, I recommend Tire Rack - very fast shipping and great prices.

Good catch, forgot to mention about the tramlining..that was a very crazy feeling when I drove it home from Texas(to NC). If I had not read about it I would have been freaking the whole way home. It is gone with the Hankooks, I can drive single handed without ever feeling like I am going to be whiped into a new direction. Althoug, I like to drive with two on the wheel....;p

I just put on a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS and love them. The DWs are more appropriate for your are. I have regular tires so I'm getting a spare to throw in the trunk. Very reasonably priced too.

I've had them on my cars for several years and they offer a great summer tire for everyday driving with great tread life. Inexpensive too.
