Interesting comment from my neighbor

So my neighbor that I hardly talk to was out today and he was asking when I got my car. I got the Sepang M Coupe in November and before that I had the black 3.0si coupe. He starts saying how he liked my last car a lot, especially the way it looked. I told him that this car is the same exact bodystyle except it is bronze instead of black and he says, "Really? I liked the other one a lot."

Yes, black is nice because it is stealth but the bronze is so cool because it's different and it's definitely a lot easier to clean. He was pretty amazed though when I told him they only made 68 in this color. Well regardless of what he thinks, I like it.

The most awesome color ever. IMHO. I had So many comps on mine. Best color BMW did on a Z4. Heres my old roadster. May she RIP.

^mousitch, incidentally at the dealership in houston i flew out to to seal the deal on my interlagos m coupe, they had a sepang bronze roadster with light sepang interior and madeira wood trim for sale. it was on display right in front of the general managers office on the main showroom floor.

i honestly do not remember my impressions of sepang bronze, as it was the first and only time i saw a bmw in tt color, but i remember sitting in it and thinking, 'hmm, madeira wood really ISN'T for me.' a pity, i now think tt was a great combination and quite a good buy too. though of course, i HAD to have the coupe.

rather bland neighbor u've got nikki, i'm sure over the course of a few more weeks seeing ur sepang coupe, he'll warm up more to it. it's an acquired taste.

Colour is such a personal thing. Ask 10 people about a selection of car colours and it's very possible to get 10 different responses.

What matters is how you like it!

Oh well. Mine is black and all my neighbour asked was whether it was an "M-type" or a real M.

Humh, interesting? I though it was the other way around! Especially after a nice detailing job.

Actually, I thought white showed off the lines less when I compared the two side by side (dealer I bought one received both colors in the same shipment). Black, when it's clean at least, has a really nice reflective quality that shows off the different edges pretty well.

Being different was a consideration in my purchase of a Z4 coupe. I could get a tattoo or refinance my house and get a Ferrari. The Z coupe complemented my efforts perfectly. Enjoyment, originality,Fun.

White cars hide all sins.

Black is gorgeous, for a few minutes.

As mentioned in another thread, I'm waiting to hunt down a bronze one with extended leather, only 9 made in the US, so I'm not holding my breath (and only one of those with carbon leather interior). I really dislike the wood trim for some reason. So I might have to budget in 1.3k for original trim from bmw, ouch.

Still trying to decide what my backup color is This site was somewhat helpful:
<http://www.bmwz4roadster.net/bmw_z4_colors_M.htm>

I was originally thinking space gray, but after seeing one in person I'm not convinced. Maybe white? A white one just came up for sale for really cheap with black extended leather and I'm very tempted, they even made a very decent offer on my 2.5i.
