auto a/c keeps turning off
Over the last few days the auto mode on my A/C is turning off. I'm driving along and it's working just fine. Then the fans start blasting away and the auto light has gone out. It only seems to have happened since the temp dropped to around 40F in the bay area.
Anyone know why this would happen?

This happened to my z4m a while back. The problem was that the passenger footwell air duct flapper motor was going out. A/C control unit found that it was unable to perform it's function, so it went into "safe mode", where it blows heat full blast.
A dealer can read the codes off the A/C controller to determine why it's happening. |
