Depends on the location of the car being sold, its overall visible condition, whether it comes with decent tires, CPO status, warranty status, maintenance records, etc.

Your price range is going to be 25k - 32k depending on those factors and more.

36-40 is correct for the canadian market. I payed 40 for mine coupe it had 16000km on it prem package, aftermaket rims, lowered, exhaust and all the oem parts. I thought it was a pretty good deal

since the z4s are considered made in north america it might be a good idea to shop south of the border this time. i have seen some very attractive deals, now i just need to figure out how to get the car back here

^^ It's pretty easy to bring it back up here and you don't have to pay duty for Z4M since it's made in the US. I picked up my truck at Blaine 9am and got it plated by 3pm the same day. Simple process. Just make sure you get everything planned out.

It's same as mine which I bought 5 months ago with less kms. If it's US car, $32k~$34k is fair. Cdn car, $34k~36k max.

HTHs.

Just keep in mind that a US car will be valued less than its Canadian equivalent or more so you better be planning to keep it for the long haul. BMW has also been a little difficult to work with in regards to recall clearance letters and other documentation. There is a class action lawsuit against them (and other brands) for trying to block imports through shady means like that. It's a little easier now than it used to be.

An '06 M Roadster from the US recently sold for $26K in Vancouver for comparisons sake on the value of a US car here...

BMW Victoria has a 06 full load CPO Roadster asking $37k. I wonder how much room they are opening for price negotiating. Never had experience with them before.

I like the guys at Victoria BMW and I bought my Coupe through them. Worked with Daniel for a long time trying to find the right next car. I test drove a lot of cars through them before settling on a Coupe. Leased my 328 through them as well. Good group.

My car's a US car as well. In time you notice that the U.S. cars were spec'd differently from the Canadian cars in terms of some options. (i.e. the hard-top mounting hardware comes on CDN models, but not U.S., need to get the install kit separately). Other than that I haven't had any problems with it and with Canadian dealerships so far. Still have to get a front license plate holder though.
