I have a 2008 that I might be persuaded to sell for $70 You'll have plenty left to ship and get new mufflers and wheels
Seriously though, is that really the going rate in Australia?

unsurprising - http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/i...111168&DL=1043
from back home, 1 of 5 z4m coupe's in singapore. S$157,800 = US$120,228.48. anyway, for A$85k, and considering the supersprint had to be imported, and bbs ch aren't exactly plenty affordable, i think it's pretty decent? honestly not familiar with the australian automotive market. |

I understand cars being expensive in Singapore since they have so little land/roads, they have huge fees and taxes to have a car. However, I don't understand the premium price in Australia.

They are pretty rare here in Aus. New they were A$127K. Mind you they come with all options as standard in Aus.
Do a search on www.carsales.com.au and type in Z4 M in the keyword section and you will see how much they cost here. Remember this one also has under 10,000kms |

omg thank god I live in the US. ZMC is hot, but i'd never pay more then $40,000, even that would have to be some mint, well kept machine detailed by the hands of god.
But, that car looks coo, just not 84,000 cool. Happy thanksgiving everyone

Tell him you will give him $30,000 US and I bet it sells. I dont give a shit what Austrailia car dealers think they can sell them for, they are not worth that much period and as long as you guys keep paying that they will kill you with prices.
I would litterally give him the bird and tell him to pack sand. I can get into a used 2001 Ferrari F430 for $9000 more than what hes asking. Pathetic. You guys need to really step back and buy from Hawaii or the US. It only costs $2000-$4000 to ship. I know I have shipped several overseas. Sorry for being so direct but I am getting tired of seeing Austrailia killing you guys on prices and charging double for what they are worth. I would never buy from there, even if I lived there. There are loop holes for everything, cars included.

In Singapore before motorists can buy a vehicle they first must purchase a Certificate of Entitlement -- a permit allowing them to buy a car.
The price of a COE has risen by 32 per cent so far this year -- to between US$47,000 and US$49,000 -- as the Singapore government tightly controls the number of cars on its roads. With a population of 5 million people living in a Country that stretches 42km east to west and 23km north to south the Governments answer to the road congestion is to tax motorists out of being able to a afford anything. New vehicle prices for a Honda Jazz costs $80,000, (about $20,000 in Australia), a Toyota Corolla sedan costs $102,000 (about $25,000 in Australia) and a Toyota Camry Hybrid costs $147,000 (about $37,000 in Australia). Nice!

^for those asking about importing an m coupe from overseas, there are the little extras called taxes and fees. from what i understand in australia, there's at least a 10% import tax, 10% imported vehicle tax and a 33% luxury car tax (of the additional market value above A$52000 odd or something). this is sans goods and sales tax, annual registration fees etc. correct me if i'm wrong....
as for singapore, the m coupe was launched in '07 at S$298,000 msrp. that's about US$235,000. ^didn't i post those exact words before!? |

You can not import cars that were locally sold unless they were low volume like Ferrari or lambos.
Or u own the car for 1yr outside of oz then Bring it over. Even then you wouldn't buy from the states coz the cars aren't rhd. Can't simple not pay aud prices because in the states the car is worth half the price. I would kill for a f430 for 90k, I think the cheapest one here would be like 240k.

If you think the prices are bad in OZ... a new Z4MC in NZ went for NZ$140k! Too rich for my blood... glad it's relatively dirt cheap on this side of the pond.

So what happened with the Z4-MC you were looking at getting?
From all the posts you have made all over ZPOST I figure you either must be close to securing a deal by now, or you just have a hell of a lot of spare time and like tormenting yourself. I didn't hear back from your PM. There are currently five on CarSales Australia for you to choose from.
