How Do You Figure Out ??? UPDATED

I have a 2008 Z4MC and was wondering how do you figure out your car build number out of the 1815 made.

need VIN first, then the big list that is floating around with all Z4Ms made. Don't have link right now, I'm sure someone will post it. Using the list, you can find out how many, or few, cars were made with the same specs as yours.

Thanks for the help. I found the car, but how do you figure out what exact number off the line it is. Do I have the count all the other entries, their not even in order? Also, when did the last Z come off the assembly line?

That spread sheet is much easier to work with if you open it in Excel. I clicked the link in Mozilla Foxfire and got a really huge list with numbers like you posted - open the link in Explorer and you should be prompted to open it in excel, so much easier to work with. Save it first, then open in Excel, allows you to sort and all that good stuff.

I found in interesting that the VINs do not exactly follow production dates meaning, it seems some times the VINs skip ahead for whatever reason. Going by Prod date, looks like your are #30 from the end of production, #1786.

Thanks for the help, I actually found another list that makes it much easier to figure out your Z4M production number.

Very nice find! How or where does it show production number though? It's definitely easier to look up a combo of basic options to see how many are out there.
