Crazy Rattling noise
The crazy clutch rattaling noise when I engage and stop start the car doesn't have anything to do with the Engine mounting bolts that ive been reading about does it?

I had a very bad rattle/knock at one point when I would press all the way down on the clutch about a year ago. Turned out to be the throw out bearing. Just fyi.

I concur, seems likely, especially if there are no problems with the shifter going into different gears.

For the OP, from what you very briefly described, I don't think it's related to the engine mount bolt issue. If it were, you should be able to notice something 'different' even at idle.

If this is occuring only when slowing down and disengaging the clutch when the engine is still under load, and you get a quick, successive, cha-cha-cha-cha-cha chatter, then it's the dual mass flyweel and it's a normal sound.

Man, you've just made me feel a lot better about the sounds I've been hearing from my car.

After I googled and read more about dual mass fly wheel, i think it is the springs making the noise. The noise only comes from nuetral to first and from first to neutral at really slow speeds.

I'm also hearing this chatter when disengaging the clutch going from 1st to 2nd gear...is this also the dual mass flywheel that's making the noise?

clutch chatter is normal in these cars. i complained to my service advisor and they replaced the whole clutch pointing to a damaged flywheel. 1 month later, the sound reappeared (although it was not as loud, but present nonetheless).

If you're under warranty schedule an appointment. Arrange for a loaner, because if they end up needing to drop the tranny it'll probably be at least a couple days...hell they would keep my 335 for 2 days just to change the microfilter
