JBD (Diesel Tune) Dynos

BMS was able to dyno a 335D testing out the new JBD quick install tune. No easy way to get a tach pickup on the car so we get MPH/Power only but the gains were very impressive. Stock it did a best of 245rw and tuned a best of 308rw. Also some runs at lower settings for comparison.

Here is a dyno so you can see the gains

Looking at the first 4 plots, they seem like copies, only with hp elevated for each pull. That would seem to indicate the engine is performing as designed, with the turbo functioning within the specified range. It's just getting a bit more power with each pull. At the 100% setting, the plots change, with dips and peaks moving to different points on the ordinate. That would seem to indicate a change in the function of the engine, possibly indicating you've exceeded the design parameters of the turbo?

We all know the n54 turbo runs rather high on it's pump curve. This would seem to indicate the diesel is running a little lower in the pump curve (a good thing), where output can rise in a linear fashion and you're not driving the hell out of the turbos.

Mike - any updates on dynos? I'd like to see something ploted against engine RPM, not speed.
