Anyone had a call about rear light quality enhancement

Had a call from my supplying dealer regarding QE0063140100 - possibility of gas entering rear lights and damaging LED connectors.

My supplying dealer is 500 miles away however, so I'll be getting the local guys to check it out.

Had mine done under free recall last month Clive. I bought mine in Staffordshire and had the recall work done at my local dealer in Berkshire.

Took them about an hour. I did have to go back twice in one day though as technitian damaged the new seals on the first attempt.

I didn't get the recall, but my lights did actually fail. So now I have nice new rear lights and the seals.

i've had the letter but completely forgot to book my car in.

I take it that they shouldn't need to 'poke' around under the bonnet?

Might just wait until service time?

When mine was booked in they also did the "HPFP software update" I mentioned above, which actually seemed to involve reflashing the entire car - the digital amp distortion issue was fixed, my remap was flashed over....

Had mine replaced when it went in for a new steering pump.Garaged asked if I received a recall letter, which I didn't.

I have mine doen at the MOT last month, but didn't get a letter........I wasn't offered any software update for HPFP.....I do have the BMW Perfomance PAck upgrade so I don't know if that makes a difference ?

Took my 135i in for a service and they replaced both rear lights saying they had already failed.. No mention of any software updates etc?
