non-oem navigation unit for 2004 x5
Hi, i have a 2004 x5 without navigation. I saw this unit
"BMW E38 E39 X5 NON-OEM Bluetooth, DVD player and Navigation Syst [e39bwmnav]" on the bimmernav website. Is this unit worth it. I like it because no additional cutting is required. Will it work with my car. Has anyone had any similar experiences. ALso if put this unit, will i have to remove the car's MID controller? Can i relocate the controller. If the controller is gone, then i lose some functions like clock, avg speed, mpg. any advice would help, thanks? |

If you want only the Navigation part why don't you buy instead a Garmin Nuvi for a lot less than what you will pay for this unit?
Also, you mention that this unit is for E38 E39 X5. The platform for your 2004 X5 is E53. Make sure that this unit will work for your X5. Good luck. |
