X5 4.0d M Sport opinions
Hi Guys,
Recent events (baby on the way) have meant I've had to become more sensible with my choice for vehicle as I'm about to trade in my 2008 M3 Converible for an X5 4.0d M Sport. Before I do, I'd like to hear opinions from anyone who owns a 4.0d (M sport or SE). What is the performance like (ok I know it won't be like a snarling M3 V8) and real world fuel consumption. Also has anyone had the reversing camera with top view option fitted? If so, is it anygood i.e. worth the money? Thanks for any and all comments. Last edited by bazmandude; 08-11-2010 at 09:38 AM.. |

Ok so it seems no one on this site has an opinion on the 40d M Sport!
Well I've had a test drive and while it's no M3 it felt plenty quick enough for public roads and the extra practicality is gonna prove very handy. So to keep it short, I've ordered one, should be delivered around the beginning of October. I have an opinion on the 40d: it should be available in North America. I can't see how the fuel consumption could be worse than an M3.

I note you have the detach tow bar which I also have for our horse box (comprimise to the wife!), this is great because if you dont need it leave it in the boot. One thing though it feels wide to start with so be careful. The tele and ipod interface is good. All in all I think you will be pleased |
