Confusion over 2011 x6 release date

Hi all,

Leaving in Russia brings 2 evident disadvantages: way too expensive cars and a lack of information.

I am thinking of getting a new 2011 x6 (35xi), but confused over the actual release date. My understanding is that 2011 x6 will have a slightly re-designed look and a new N55 engine.

Can anyone clarify for me, please when 2011 x6 is coming out and how its look and technical modifications compare with the previous model???

The model year 2011 X6 began production at the end of march of this year. It's already been out for 4 months.

But what about the face-lift? is there any? or anything being planned?

No face lift for 2011.. only BMW knows for 2012

I think the information is confusing the X6 with the 2011 3 series xi which has face lift.

I would assume that it is not going to be too major considering the extent of the X5 facelift and the fact that all the mechanical changes were already made on the X6 for MY2011 ... maybe slightly different bumpers, headlights/taillights, and some new interior/exterior color options would be my best guess ...
