remote window roll up comes standard with the X6. This is nothing new,- everyone has this (at least in europe). USA too?

folding mirrors I dont think so.

I'm in the US. I have an X5. It's not an option for us here. I had to get it recoded/programmed.

PS: I'm typing this off my iPhone sorry If it comes off harsh

Now if this guy can get the electric tailgate to go down with pressing remote button or button on dash, I'd be first in line to get that one!

very strange why BMW dont provide the window roll-down function with the key in the USA. Here in europe we can use the key to roll all windows and sunroof UP or DOWN + the tailgait.

plus the tailgate? that'd be awesome. Do you have a switch inside of the driver area/center console to close the tailgate?

You can roll the windows DOWN in US with the key but not UP.

Lawyers and liability.

Imagine sitting down in your home and pressing the button, your kids head hanging out of the car, now he is dead/strangled.

BMW wants to make sure liability is transferred to you.

In Europe, citizens can't really sue anyone mostly because it is socialism and you would be suing yourself.

We have a button below the radio to open the tailgate but nothing to close it with. other than that, there's a red button on the inside of the tailgate to press to close.

^ I had a MBenz before and it had some window safety feature whenever it detected there was something obstructing the window from closing it would automatically roll back down. I did this with my arm just to test it not my neck

Man, another mod I would love to get. Im guessing you hold down the unlock button to roll down the windows and then hold the lock button to close the windows? Everytime you lock the car, does the mirrors fold in or you have to hold down the lock button? If the mirros are folded and you use the door handle to unlock the car (comfort access), does the mirrors unfold?

Good job Aleks and Phatt!

thanks D.R.

by factory default (US spec) the windows/moonroof roll down but do not roll up.

so when you roll them up, the mirrors fold in as well.

this works with the remote AND comfort access.
