Saw this driving...
I was on my way to get lunch today and saw this in the rear mirror. I have to say it is the cleanest and best looking Bimmer I've seen in Phoenix in a long time. Its hard to see in the picture, (iphone pic) but the car has a long list of mods, that I'm sure continue into the interior. From what I could see, this guy put in angel eyes, new front bumper, possibly the side-skirts and rear bumper as well as blacking out the side-sills. I'm not sure if the performance mods he has on the car are because it was a "Dinan 1" modded car, but he has exhaust, cross-drilled brakes and rims too. I would love to know the mod list if anyone has extra info!
- Not sure why the pic loads so big and sideways, so sorry in advance. |

I've been looking around here for an example, but there aren't many. When I say "ricer" I'm talking about the volk rim/ rays wheels. Here's a pic of what I generally mean.
- Pic belongs to John Zhang ( of who I am a big fan ) |

I agree
IMO Volks belong on Acura Type R's and RSXs, its very import tuner, but people seem to like it on the M3. To each their own.

Do you even know who's car this is? This car actually sees track time unlike 99% of this forum. Thats hardly rice, and its more go than show. Please show a little bit more respect for other peoples ride before calling out "RICE", and know more about motorsports and its origins before u think Rays/Volks or any Japan wheels are "RICE".

No, I don't know who's car this is, and it doesn't even matter. I don't care if it is 100% track or not, all I said is that I didn't like the look of that style rim on a BMW and furthermore, I never said or suggested that those wheels are lacking in performance, history, reputation etc. etc. I just said I didn't like the style, so I'd appreciate it if you showed a little more respect for my opinion.

@ tightie - yeah I do, but just because the rim is on a race car doesn't mean (necessarily) that it will look any better or worse than a street car rim. If I were questioning the performance of the wheel, it'd be a different story. I'm not trying to say the wheels are POSs, cause they aren't, I just don't particularly like the look. Thats all.

Take it easy Fruitcake... Its his opinion.. I dont think he is hatin on Volks, he just thinks they belong on Jap cars. And to be honest I see his point. The Volks are nice looking wheels... but doesnt suit the current M3 model.
(No ignorance intended)
