Rear Tires

I recently passed 1 year and 15,000 on the odo, so it was time for state inspection and servicing. Also, not surprisingly, I am in need of rubber for the rear.

Here's the question. I have been relatively satisfied with the stock Contis, so is there any reason to change?

Choose me some new rubber, fellers.

if you dont track that much and just want a set of performance tires that have decent treadwear then you can go for vredestein or hankook ventus v12 or PS2s (more expensive) or just stick to the same contis you already use.

for more aggressive driving and weekend track use, Nitto NT05, Bridgestone RE11 are good choices and not very expensive.

I never mix tires on a car if I can help it. Handling balance tends to be the best with all 4 the same. If you're doing just the rears, go back with the Conti's.

I'll vote for the Vredesteins... get a full set of 4 and sell your fronts. Great tires and cheap!

@ben: when will TireRack start carrying Vreds???
