2011 Ssii E92 M3 Zcp

Just made the switch from a '08 E92 M3 to a '11 E92 M3. Kept the same colors (SSII/Black/carbon) and added ZCP as well as few extras.

Specs:
SSII/Black/carbon
M-DCT
Competition
Tech
Premium
Enhanced sound
Heated Seats
Rear sunshade
Sat radio
iPod
PDC
Alarm

First pic is at the dealership.

The rest are after:
Akrapovic Slip on
RAC63s on 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 PS2s
V1/LI
Euro visors and mirrors
Alekshop Video module/Front and rear cameras
Competition spoiler
Fog light mod
3D design pedals

Many thanks for Alekshop for coming out to Boston and doing the video and Akra install. He's a true craftsman and enthusiast!

The Comp package wheels (359) really look great in real life. I did notice that they are substantially heavier than the RACs though. I was sad to put the Comp wheels in the basement - but only until I went back out and looked at the RACs.

One more thing - for those interested in the fog light mod - my '11 had the white pieces in both fog light positions so one just needs to release the button - no more legos.

Thanks for all the positive replies.

My initial impressions are that as might be expected, the new car is an improvement over the '08. My car was one of the early builds, and my only real disappointment was the change in the iDrive system. There is no doubt that the new one is better (faster, better resolution screen, more features).

Although I don't have a lot of miles yet, I also think that the M-DCT lag is better. After I the software update was installed in my '08 it was nearly completely gone. So far I have not experienced it even in situations where I might expect it (slowing for a stop light, nearly at a stop when the light changes and you try to accelerate gently). We'll see as the miles go on but so far so good.

I debated about the competition spoiler. In the end, I'm really happy with it. It fits perfectly and is a perfect match to the roof. IMO it complements the car in subtle way rather than screaming "look at me."

Congratulations and thank you for posting pictures, it looks beautiful. Your choice in improvements; wheels, gurney, and Akra compliment the car perfectly. I'm going to live vicariously through these photos until my replacement arrives, would you mind posting more pics when you get a chance? ...possibly a little larger size?

As far as changes and impressions vs. our '08's, how does the cup holder trim grab you? Did they rid the interior of the notorious rattling/squeeking noises? You've had a lot of seat time with the previous edc system, how does the new "sport" setting feel to you? Is it an indiscernible difference?

^+1, It's starting to grow on me as well. I admit, I dismissed it completely when I first saw it.

That's a beautiful color and the ZCP look is growing on me. The look of the spoiler still doesn't do it for me at all though.

The little bits of chrome on the cup holders and light switch are OK. In a black interior, they brighten things up a little.

My '08 was mostly rattle free fortunately. Haven't had enough seat time to know yet about this nor have I really tested the Sport mode yet. I've actually spent more time putting things on since I got the car compared to driving it. Have to fix that going forward as I don't have any more mods planned. (Unless I decide to get a BBK)

I'll update everyone when I get more seat time.

Congrats!

Awesome car! It is subtle, although aggressive, if such combination is possible! I'll PM you so we can set up a time to meet.
