congrats to gewow on his new car!
he just got his new baby (Le Mans Blue) and we started installing parts on it 2 hours after delivery!!
so far the mods on the list are: matte blk grills smoked reflectors blacked out m3 badge blacked out side grills on another note, i just realised that the new m3s have skinnier wiper arms than my 08 m3... lol...

I must say that without Chris - I am useless @ installing mods!. But to be fair...we had to trim one of the reflectors, and the side gills took basically 1.5 hrs to remove...2011 fitment
will post more pics soon What's left: - AFE filter (may wait a while as the stock one is plenty breathable on newer airboxes) - Angel iBrights - CCW C10s coming in a few days - Arkym matte black lip - Akra Slip on with gloss black tips - SS brake lines/fluid/pads (may also wait a while) Last edited by GewoW; 06-11-2010 at 02:15 AM.. |

side gills took 1.5 hours ???? how are they fitted? The E46 took about 5 minutes.

So well fitted it's like they were glued in. I'm sure montreal_red will comment on that! |

the driver side came off relatively easy with some squeezing of the fender grill but the passenger side refused to come off no matter what we tried. in the end gewow used a flathead to pry the crap out of it until the chrome coating came right off. it was insane!!

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate it and the wait was well rewarded
We had to push in from the top with a pry tool, as well as push in from the bottom at the same time, all the while using a screw driver @ the edge. The chrome is completely stripped off @ that little corner, but who the heck cares. |
