Video- Dinan Midpipe and Muffler

just got a new vid camera so i am still learning what the best settings are. i am def not there yet as i know what the car sounds like in person and the video sound is not equal to it. there is alot of settings on this thing so practice should yield some good videos

anyway here is the first one i did. i know it is rough but you can hear the engine in some different rpm's. sorry for the darkness by the time i figured out how to set it up and use it, it was dark out lol

the road i was on only let me get up to about 6k rpm so on the next ones i will make sure i got enough road to hit up to redline as with the Dinan system it has different sounds in the rpm ranges, pretty cool actually. below 4k is nice deep tone and above that is a higher pitch exotic like tone.

will do some inside so you can see how there is no drone but sounds sweet inside the car too

i was able to play it on my tv too and it def sounds alot better on some good speakers. i like that feature on this camera as i can play it in HD on the tv or in reg tv. noticed when the volume is high on the tv it sounds good but when high on the computer speakers has a bit of rasp that is not normally there

it was mounted on the rear bumper just above the mufflers so it sounds louder then it would if mounted in normal places. did one on the trunk and that one sounded better but i accidently deleted it learning how to use this thing lol. love the suction cup though bc it lets me mount it almost anywhere on the car which is cool. also with the cover it is waterproof so you can shoot in any weather condition which is also a nice feature

also was very windy today so i know when i get a nice day these should come out better. anyone that has video experience any suggestions are def welcome as i want to get better at shooting and know what settings are best

camera is a Go Pro HD Hero model

once i get more time with it i will let you know if i reccomend it or not. as for being versatile it def has that and many options for mounting and came with alot of different mounts and hooks etc

anyway here is the vid hope it came out ok. youtube shows it as still being processed so it may come out better after it is complete. took forever to upload

is there any other options that are faster or better quality for uploading videos?? new to this. thanks

get to try it out at the track ton at practice on my race bike so that should be interesting lol. i think it will come out better if on my helmet as apposed to mounted on the bike bc then there will be less shaking etc

here is another one during the day. same run but going the other way. also there was a car in front of me about halfway in so i couldn't run it the way i wanted to. sound didn't come out to great for some reason. i still have to play with the back covers to see which one sounds better and the settings on the video camera

Cool video. The audio leaves something to be desired. I'm guessing the Dinan sounds much better in person.

it is the camera it doesn't sound raspy in person. i have to try to see how i can get a more real to life quality out of the videos.

i have noticed with this car vids do the muffler set ups no justice, not just mine all the set ups i have heard. you hear them on here but when in person sound so much better. other cars i have heard are not like that. i know with my E46 M and my E39 M what was in the video was pretty much how it sounded in real life. like here is of my E46 and of my E39 and that is how they pretty much sounded in real life. weird

i also have to find a nice road that has more room so i can get in the upper rpm's past 6k so you can hear the higher pitch the set up takes on once past 6k. it is pretty cool actually how it has a nice deeper tone below 4-5k then after 5-6k it has a higher more exotic pitch to it.

just sucks i can't get this thing to sound like it does in person. i wonder if i ever run into someone with professional video equipment that would do the trick?? i am sure it would be better then my novice vids lol

thank you. i see your in NJ. are you near the Dinan dealer Motor Works West?? that is where i get my car worked on. there not a BMW dealer just a Dinan dealer and race shop.

i am going there next week sometime to get my susp put in, if you are near there and would like to hear it in person or take a ride, you can meet me there. if that day doesn't work then when i pick it up too. then we can test the new susp out he he
